New Beginnings 2022-23

With a seven acre avant-garde campus and top-notch infrastructure Canary paves a clear path for educational success, leading seamlessly from primary through middle to senior school years. Each stage combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment, including CBSE and IB curriculum which are recognized by universities worldwide. Canary has also been bestowed the prestigious International Dimension in Schools award by the British Council which is a bench-marking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning.

The school's vision and mission statements speak of the beliefs, values, and aims of the learning community and is regularly revisited and reflected upon to ensure that the school and its members are genuinely living the mission.

The sudden onset of the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the closure of the physical school in 2020. However, learning never stopped at Canary as the school transitioned to the virtual mode of learning. G Meet video conferencing and Google Classroom ensured that classes were conducted remotely; teachers interacted with students and got on with the teaching learning process in no time. Online class learning provided huge options to maximize the use of technology with displays of videos, PPTs, Whiteboard, Online Quizzes, virtual field trips, guest lectures from eminent people from across the globe, to name a few.

With the vaccination drive happening, the school geared up to reopen its gates for middle and senior school students, and we wished a joyful return for students in February 2022. Soon, the primary school children and the tiny tots of pre-primary joined back with fervor and excitement writ large on their happy faces.

The classrooms at Canary serve to support a student’s holistic growth — mind, body, and heart. The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards, smart TVs, laptops etc - technology to enhance the instructional process and encourage inquiry-based learning. The library at Canary is the favorite haunt of all avid readers. It is a treasure trove of knowledge and information and houses books on various subjects, newspapers, magazines and journals.

Assessment tools are built into Canary to help teachers identify learners’ strengths and areas of improvement and monitor their development as they progress through primary education to senior school.

Academic learning at Canary is offset by co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as ICT, sports, music, dance, art and craft, etc with a multitude of equipage like ICT labs, football grounds, athletic tracks, horse riding tracks, tennis court, skating rink, music and dance arena, art and craft studio, and recreation rooms. The Hobby Club gives the students the liberty to   choose activities they desire and are motivated by and excel in them.

The leaders at Canary – Managing Director, Chairperson, Director and Principal - are elegant, dexterous and resilient personalities who take action that responds to new and ever-changing realities, even as they maintain the essential operations with a can do attitude that bounces off the teachers as well.

Canary has built a culture of inclusivity, honesty, transparency and collaboration that contributes to the creation of a powerful and strong culture.

School staff members work hard to ensure the best possible outcomes and experiences for their students. The sense of responsibility permeates through the school and staff and students lend a hand in maintaining decorum. They communicate effectively and the process of teaching and learning moves forward in a systematic and engaging way.
