Stakeholders

At Canary,we believe that parents are very important stakeholders in the learners’ educational journey. We emphasise our commitment to the family and welcome parents to our community with an orientation to Life@Canary. We believe in forging a strong partnership with parents and create spaces for parents to share their ideas and questions pertaining to the academic programme or the progress of their child.

Meetings

To that effect, the school organises periodic meetings between the parents, coordinators and teachers so that parents are able to guide the learners at home with their research and home assignments. All required information pertaining to the progress of the learner is communicated through Parent-Teacher Meetings, SLCs and learning displays.

Guest Lecturers

As primary resources of information for research, parents are an integral part of the learning journey of our Canarians. Parents are invited to share their knowledge with students as Guest Lecturers. Occasionally, the school invites guest speakers and conducts workshops to enable parents to enhance their skills, both as parents and as home educators.
